About Tinkerworks
It was a pleasure for me to help Alek by designing his studio website. He started Tinkerworks, a copy-based design studio, with the aim to deliver whimsical stories based on strategic thinking.
The Project
My strategy for this was to give enough white space for the copy to stand out and showcase portfolio images in a non-monotonous way.
I used a geometrical typeface that is adapted to the Tinkerworks logotype, and also gives a modern impression (can be seen from Tinkerworks' portfolio and visual style). The black and white color and large text size indicate that copywriting is also the main strength of each of their portfolios. I applied an editorial style by arranging each position and size of each portfolio image so that it can tell a more dynamic story.
They tinker, and it works.
